Without Dwyane Wade, The Heat Are Going To Have A Tough Week

The next five days may prove how much the Miami Heat needs Dwyane Wade. Wade is expected to be out indefinitely with a list of injuries, including a bruised left foot, a sprained right ankle and a strained calf. None of these injuries are described as serious but they could linger throughout the rest of the season. So far the Heat have been able to survive without their star point guard. LeBron James and Chris Bosh have stepped up their game in Wade’s absence. But how long can James and Bosh carry the team. Tuesday, against the San Antonio Spurs, the Heat got 33 points from LeBron James and 30 points from Chris Bosh in a 120 – 98 win. The Heat are going to need more nights like this from the remaining two members of the “Big Three” if they are going to continue their winning ways. This was just the first of a tough three games against some of the league’s better teams. On Thursday they face Kobe Bryant and the Lakers and on Saturday they face the surprisingly good Philadelphia 76ers. Both of these games would have been a test with the “Big Three” all available to play. Without Dwyane Wade, the Heat will have a hard time winning these two. And a large question looms mightily over the Heat – How long will they be without Dwyane Wade, and can they really survive without him for an extended period of time?
