The Heat continued a tough home stand Saturday night with a win against the Philadelphia 76ers, 113-92. The young Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as a legitimate contender in the East and the Heat showed that they still are a contender too. Dwyane Wade was ruled out of the game with a sprained right ankle, despite practicing on Friday. It was the third straight game that the Heat have had without their star point guard. But the Heat didn’t need Wade against the Sixers. Chris Bosh had 30 points and LeBron James had 28 points as the Heat improved to 6-0 without Wade. The win shows that they can continue to produce wins against good teams. By resting Dwyane Wade again, it appears that the Heat are in no hurry to rush Wade back into the lineup. LeBron James was quoted as saying “”When he’s ready to come back, his No. 3 jersey will be waiting for him.” Given Dwyane Wade’s nagging injuries, it might be good to continue to rest him. The team is not suffering without him and will need a completely healthy Dwyane Wade for the second half of the season. Given the way that the NBA’s stars are getting injured, a healthy Wade will be a plus going into a playoff run.
