Dwyane Wade’s season took another turn last night in Denver. The Heat lost their third straight game with a 117-104 loss to the Denver Nuggets. This really was nothing new for the Heat who have lost their last 10 games in Denver. But they might have also lost Dwyane Wade too. With just 7:24 remaining in the game, Wade possibly sprained his right ankle when he landed on it awkwardly. After lying on the court for a few minutes, he made it to the bench and didn’t return. The game wasn’t going to well for him anyway. Wade had only scored 12 points on a 6 for 14 night from the field. He didn’t even make it to the charity stripe. The Heat in general didn’t have a good night either. The Nuggets took a page out of the Heat playbook and ran the “run and gun”. The Heat were killed by the Nuggets on the fast break. More teams might need to take a look at this strategy against the Heat. With a now bad right ankle and possible plantar fasciitis in the left foot, Dwyane Wade’s movement will be severely hampered. If Erik Spoelstra is still thinking about his “pace and space” offense, he might have to reconsider it. You can’t run Dwyane Wade if he has two bad feet.
